Elena Jane "Ellie" Goulding is an English singer and songwriter. Goulding was born on 30 December 1986[12] in Hereford and raised in Lyonshall, a small village near Kington, Herefordshire, the second of four children (she has a brother and two sisters). Her career began when she met record producers Starsmith and Frankmusik, and she was later spotted by Jamie Lillywhite, who later became her manager and A&R.
